4" x 8" Drawstring Bag
Very simple to make, the size comes to about 4" X 8" when completely sewn. Additional inches can be added to the pattern to fit larger tarot decks, etc.
First, print off the pattern. Click here for the PDF.
Fold selected fabric with the right sides facing in. Pin pattern to fabric lining up the fold with the bottom of the pattern as marked. Cut out and make marks on the fabric to show lines 1, 2, and 3.
Remove paper pattern and sew the sides of the pouch up to line one as shown.
With iron, press down the top sides to make the casing. Sew edges down.
Next, fold top edge down and press at line 2. Again, fold top down and press at line 3.
Sew casing along the bottom.
Finally, turn pouch so that the right sides are facing out. Use cord or sew your own drawstring. You will need two strands, 13 inches each using the pattern provided. If you decide to wide the pattern, add extra length to the cord/drawstring as needed.
